Bob Moss announced today that he has filed papers and will run for the two year seat in this year's City Council election. Bob has lived in Barron Park for more than 26 years and has been an active and effective worker in a wide range of community activities.
From providing senior services to promoting the arts;
from zoning and land use to successful flood control;
from eradicating graffiti to developing high speed data services;
from advocating traffic improvements to working with Neighborhood Watch;
from preserving schools and school sites to creating library and community centers;
In all of these areas, and more, Bob Moss can truly say "Been there, done that."
We are losing three valuable and knowledgeable council members due to term limitations. It is important that their successors be people of integrity, as they are, and with a broad range of knowledge and experience in community issues. Our leaders need to understand and represent the entire scope of concerns and needs in our increasingly diverse community. There is no room for narrow interests or those with a few pet causes to promote.
Our city needs and deserves better. Bob Moss is uniquely qualified to provide the vision, experience, and leadership we all need in the next century. It has been said "When the leaders lack vision, the people perish."
In these days when change happens at Internet speed, we cannot afford to be led by those with a narrow focus on issues. Bob Moss provides the vision for our total community that Palo Alto deserves.
